I'm Kara

I was born and raised in Nebraska, but relocated to the Northern Minnesota area with my family in 2023. Photography has always been something that interested me. Whether it was capturing images of nature while on a walk or capturing photos of memories that were being created. 

While I was growing up, my grandmother was always the one behind the camera capturing photos of everyone else. She would have boxes and boxes full of printed images that she took of family, friends, vacations, events, etc. She was a huge believer in capturing memories while they were being made. Because I spent so much time with her as a child, I believe that I got that picture taking passion from her. With that being said, I dedicated part of my business name to her. K&H derives from my initials, and the D derives from the first inital of her name. Dedicating my business name partly to her makes it even more special to share with others that need to capture memories through a photographer such as myself.

With that being said, I am a portrait photographer based in Northern Minnesota. Ready to capture memories on a budget!
